Halloween/Fall Fun!

We went to Schnepf Farms the other night and had so much fun. The kids loved it, especially Savanna. I didn't realize they had so many things to do there. We rode the rides, went to the petting zoo, and played in the pumpkin patch. It was actually a lot of fun. The kids did not want to leave. We stayed until closing. Savanna woke up the next morning wanting to go back. This was a huge slide. They had a couple of these there.

This rollar coaster was pretty fun. Savanna went on it 3 times and wanted to go more. Sadie didn't want to ride it at first, but decided later to give it a try. She ended up liking it.

These things were cool. You had to peddle them and steer them around a course. I want one of them for myself.

Riding the airplanes.

On the bumble bee.

Savanna wasn't so sure about this. She's not really an animal lover. She likes them from a far.

But Sadie liked them.

Maddox was a trooper. He was so good while we were there.
Check out that death grip he has on Dale's hair.

HALLOWEEN

We went to a Halloween party a couple of weeks ago and did a Halloweenie Roast. They had games for the kids, and it was fun getting to know some of the people in the ward. We had our Trunk-or-Treat last night and came home with buckets full of candy. It was fun to see all of the costumes.

Sadie, the butterfly

Savanna the ladybug

Maddox was a spider....a grumpy one.
He wasn't very happy. His costume didn't seem to bother him though, he was just grumpy.
He is getting 4 teeth right now, I guess that could be the cause of that.
Hope everyone had a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Chairs..

I've been looking for 2 matching chairs to put in my living room. I found two of these on craigslist and spent $50 for both. They were both in good condition, minus the staining. I thought maybe I could get the stains out, but decided that I would get them recovered instead. The Bishops wife in one of our last wards reupholsters furniture and I asked her if she would like to take this project on, knowing there is no way I could ever do it myself. To check out some of her work go to www.salvagechicfurniture.com.

Here is the before....
I painted the wood frame part black.
AFTER
I love them. They are perfect size. Thanks Diane, they turned out awesome.

Thanksgiving version of "Keep Calm and Carry On"

I have this haning in my family room I got a couple years back and I really like it.

I found this one on a blog, and thought it would be so cute to frame for Thanksgiving.

Kindergarden

We had a parent/teacher conference last week with Sadie's teacher and she told us that Sadie is very quiet in class. Which really surprised us, because she is not quiet at home. Her teacher thinks that she is just sitting there absorbing everything in. Her teacher is right. When she gets home everyday from school she plays school. She has imaginary students and of course Savanna to teach. She acts just like a teacher. It's funny to watch her :) She loves school now. It took her about a month to get use to it, and two straight weeks of her crying when I took her in the morning. She is making so many new friends and a lot of them are in our ward, which makes it nice.
Here is her Kindergarden picture. She looks so grown up in it.

The Birthday Girl

Savanna turned 3 on the 9th of October. She is getting to be such a big girl. She has been so excited for her birthday this year and kept singing "happy birthday to me." On Thursday we went to Kids Club and she got to sit on Dewper's lap while she got sang to, then she danced with Dewper. She loves Dewper and the Chik-fil-a cow that we get to see every Thursday at Kids Club.

Of course a carousal ride. Another highlight of her week.
We like to take advantge of this on Thursday's since it is free.

Maddox loves riding on the carousal.
He smiles, laughs, and kicks his legs the whole time.

On Saturday was her actual birthday and when she woke up that morning she had to reminded me of that, like I would forget. I had a boutique that morning so Dale took the kids to the zoo by himself. He seemed to handle it pretty well. After the zoo they came to visit me at my boutique and got to jump in the jump house there. Savanna was in heaven.

Maddox kickin' it in the stroller at the zoo.

Later that night we decided to eat out. We asked Savanna where she would like to go. She told us the pig place, also known as Famous Daves. For some reason she remembers this place and the sparkly thing they do for birthdays that she saw the last time we were there.
As we were driving there Sadie was complaining of a headache. I noticed she looked so tired and she wasn't going to be able last to eat her food. So she ended up laying on Dale's leg. She started to cry and said that she felt like she needed to throw up. I thought oh great. She sounded like she was about to, so Dale rushed her to the bathroom. She threw up all over Dale's shirt on the way to the bathroom and some more in the bathroom. One of the workers was kind enough to give Dale a spare shirt to wear home. After that our food came out and we just took it and left. Savanna was sad that she couldn't do her birthday sparkly thing. Oh well, I'm just glad that Sadie didn't throw up where everybody could see her in the restaurant.
Maddox enjoying some cheerios Famous Daves while we were waiting for Dad and Sadieto come out.

THe Birthday Girl
I guess this is her new smile these days.

Sadie resting on Dale's knee.....little did we know she wasn't feeling good.

On Sunday we did a little family party. Savanna could not stop talking about her party.
She got everything she ever wanted plus some. She is set on toys for a while.
The cousins who came.

Blowing out her candles.

Oh and another thing to add to her day, she gave herself a little haircut. She's been obsessed with doing her barbies hair lately. She went into my craft stuff and found my scissors.
She only cut it in one spot but all the way to her scalp. Its a good thing she has curly hair and you can't really tell unless you really look.
