First Day of School!

Sadie was excited to start school today. When I woke up this morning she was already dressed. She was a little nervous once we got there and I have to admit I was little nervous too.

It was a little hard for me to leave her like this. I have to admit I cried just a little bit. She was fine once we left and started to read the books on her table.

She had a fun day at school today though. She told me that she saw some of her friends that weren't in her class at recess and at lunch. Savanna didn't know what to do with herself without Sadie telling her what to do. It was a little quiet around our house without her here all day. We missed her when she was away at school. We will see how tomorrow goes. She already told me that she doesn't want to go tomorrow. Its going to take her a while to get use to it.

Maddox at 6 months

Maddox had his 6 month check up and here are his stats....

Weight: 18lb 7 oz (68th percentile)

Height: 25 1/2 (30th percentile)

He's a big boy! His Dr. was showing me his percentile chart and she said that she thought he would be in the 90th percentile for his weight and was surprised that he wasn't. She thought that he was a big boy. I love my Dr., I have had her since Sadie and Savanna were born and she remembers everything about them and kind of compares them when they were babies. When she was checking him he would not hold still and kept turning over to his stomach, he doesn't like his back as much.

I can already tell that he is going to be a very active boy. He reaches for everything in sight and is wanting to crawl so bad. He gets up on all fours and trys really hard to move. I know its all over when he starts to crawl.

Its time for a little trim...don't you think?

He's getting his first hair cut. As you can see he's not very thrilled about it.

All Done With Preschool

Sadie had her preschool graduation on Friday and is all ready to start Kindergarden in the fall. She is really excited about that and so is her mom. (but I still can't believe I have a 5 yr old)

She was happy that dad, mom, Savanna and Maddox could all come and watch her graduate.

The graduation was very cute. The kids started off by saying the pledge of allegiance and then sang a couple of songs they learned. Then that was followed by a slide show of all the things they did throughout the year.

The Big 5

Sadie turned 5 on May 6th (I know a little late on posting) and had her first friend party. I decided to do a little carnival. We played games, face painting, ate popcorn, hotdogs, and of course cake. The kids seemed to have a lot of fun. Sadie was overly excited for her party.

She got so much. Savanna kept asking her if she would share her presents with her.
Sadie was so excited to have all of her friends come to her party. She had a good time.

3 Months

Maddox is already 3 months old.

Fun Project

I have been wanting a head board for some time now. With much searching and comparing prices, I've decided that I would just make one. It was so easy to do and very inexpensive.
Here are the supplies I needed..........
Piece of ply wood the size you want it. (I got mine at Home Depot) $12.
Foam-which I purchased at Hobby Lobby $12.50 with coupon .
Batting $8
I got 4 yards of fabric for $1.50 a yard. $6
Upholstery tacks- $2.50
Staple gun/staples- I already had these.
Only took me about an hour to do.
TOTAL COST: $41

I love the way it turned out. So easy.

Marley Farms

Sadie had her second field trip to Marley Farms. There was a big variety of animals.The kids had a lot of fun feeding the animals. Savanna stayed in the stroller the whole time and watched. After we fed them, we got to go and pet a few of them. Sadie wasn't sure about this since I stayed out with the baby, but she went a head and did it. She had so much fun.
