HAPPY BIRTHDAY SADIE!

Sadie turned 6 on Friday May 6th. I can't believe I already have a 6 year old and that she is going to be in 1st grade next year.

On her birthday I took treats to her class to share with all of the kids. She was so excited about that. It was right before reccess she was begging me to stay and watch her at reccess. Man watching all of those kindergarteners running around and tattling every 5 minutes makes me appreciate her teacher even more. That is hard work. (I will post in another post what we got her teacher for teacher appreciation week).

Ok, so back to the PARTY!

I asked Sadie what she wanted to do for her party and she told me that she wanted to do a Fancy Nancy Party. Fancy Nancy is a book. Now there are a ton of books about Fancy Nancy. They are very cute and the girls love them.

It was so much fun to plan and so easy, since I already had just about everything on hand to plan for it made it even better. I made the birthday banner and gathered all of there Fancy Nancy books to display, along with feather boas and jewels.

When the girls arrived they were dressed so fancy and Sadie gave them a crown when they came.

First we made necklaces. All of the girls got to pick out whatever beads they wanted for there necklaces. This was a hit and they had so much fun picking out whatever they wanted.

Then we played some games, polished nails, and ate parfaits (fancy word for ice cream sundaes).

Maddox would not let me feed him his ice cream, he wanted to do it himself. Then he cried because I think it was to cold.

We played pin the heart on the necklace.

Then opened presents!

She got so many fun and cute things!

Here they all are! I will be giving each of the girls this picure with there thank you cards Sadie is going to make.

We are so thankful to have Sadie in our family. She is such a good helper. She loves school and plays teacher everyday after school. She loves to read now and is doing very good in school.

Easter 2011

We had a good Easter Weekend! On Saturday the kids colored eggs. They couldn't wait for the Easter hunt and dinner later that day at my sister Melissa's house. There were a TON of eggs. The kids had so much fun finding them and when they were done they opened each one to see what was inside. The Easter Bunny came later that night. (Sorry some of the pics are blurry)

Eggs all colored

All the kids minus Maddox. He wouldn't stay in the picture.

Maddox in the middle of everything....

Maddox never looks at the camera. He's interested in the rocks instead.

Happy St. Patricks Day

Maddox did not want to hold still to take a picture.

Today we went to Kids Club of course and then ate at Olive Garden for lunch with friends.
Loves his weekly carousal ride....

Sadie was so excited to go to kids club today. She hasn't been in such a long time.

Maddox's 1 Year Pics

These were taken in a junk yard and I love the way they turned out. He wouldn't really smile in any of them though, but oh well.
I met the girl who took them through a good friend of mine and found out that we are 2nd cousins.
These are just a few of them....

Maddox is One

Maddox turned one on February 2nd. I really can't believe its already been a year.
It's funny because he started to walk on his birthday. He never really tried to take any steps before. Dale stood him up on the floor and he just took off. He doesn't really show much interest in doing it now. I guess he will when he is ready.
I took him to the Dr. for his one year check up and of course he got shots and screamed.
He weighed 20 1/2 pounds and measured in at 28 1/2 inches for height.
He is 23% for weight and 12% for height.
The Dr. said that, that was normal.

We celebrated his birthday with friends and family at the park.
If you can't already tell it was a farm themed party.
I had alot of fun doing it.
The Birthday Boy!

Food table.

The Cake.
I had alot of fun doing these and they were so easy.

He had alot of fun opening his presents. Of course his sisters were happy to help.

He loves all the new toys.

And the cake. He wasn't sure at first if it was okay to eat it. But once he started to dig in he didn't stop. I knew he wouldn't have a problem, he loves food.

We just love having him in our family. The girls love him so much.
