Park, Snowball Fight and Hot Chocolate

Today at Sadie's class, they got to do a snowball fight with marshmellows and have hot chocolate. Parents and syblings were allowed to come today.

Sadie had alot of fun throwing her marshmellows and then gathering them all up.
Savanna is begging her for some of her marshmellows.
Not to eat though- to throw.
Sadie playing with Ms Patty.
After they were done they went back to their classroom and had hot chocolate.

Swinging....They love this.

Savanna found her new love....swinging.
She laughed the whole time.
They had alot of fun at the park and were so tired when we got home. They both took long naps. Maybe we should do this more often.

How We Spent Our Christmas

This year we decided to open presents at home and then head to Thatcher after. It was fun to see how excited the girls were when they saw what they got. Savanna wasn't to interested in opening presents. Here are a few pictures.

This was after all the unwrapping.

While we were in Thatcher it snowed a couple days after Christmas. This is what we woke up to one morning. It doesn't snow in Thatcher very often.

Here is Sadie and Savanna with there cousins getting ready to play in the snow.
Every year my mom makes all the grandkids a Christmas dress. These are the ones she made this year. They turned out really cute.
This was at our ward party. They weren't afraid to sit on Santa's lap this time. Sadie told him everything that she wanted. The man who was santa from our ward came over a couple of nights later to bring the girls a doll for each of them. It was very nice of him.

Preschool Performance

Sadie had her preschool performance on Tuesday. The kids sang Christmas songs and recited poems. At the end of the performance a surprise visitor came, Santa.

When Santa called out her name she went right up there and him that she wanted a doll house with barbies.

We had Makenna (from our ward) come over and play. They played so good together. They didn't fight over toys once. It was nice to have somebody entertain Sadie. Sadie is styling Makenna's hair in the picture. She put the blanket around her like they do at the salon. Thought it was funny.

Doing one of her silly poses.

Helping me empty the dish washer.
She is quite the little helper.

Family Night!

On Monday night we went and saw the Zoolight. We have never gone before and thought that this would be a good family home evening activity. The kids enjoyed them. We didn't get to see any of the animals though, they were all asleep. Sadie wanted to come back to see them when they were awake.

Sadie wanted a picture in front of all of the lighted animals.
Here is one of them.

Here is Savanna-she would dance to the music. It was fun to watch her. She does it everytime she hears some kind of music.

Of course, we couldn't leave without taking a ride on the carousal.
Savanna started crying when we got off. She wanted to ride it again.
The past couple of weeks we have done activities like this. Last Monday we went to see the lights at the Temple. We have gone every year since we have lived in the valley. Sadie liked the Nativity scene there and wanted to hold baby Jesus. At the visitors center they had alot of different Nativity scenes from different countries. Very interesting.
This is my favorite time of year. It helps me think more about Christ and why we really celebrate Christmas. I also like spending more time with family.

Savanna 1 Year Pictures

I got Savanna's pictures done last Friday. She did okay. No screaming, just wouldn't stay still. Of course a few hours before getting them done she falls on a toy and gets a scratch under her eye that kind of looks like a black eye. Oh well I guess she's one, right.

Look Alike..................

Does Sadie look like her daddy or what?

I was going through pictures the other day and I came accross this one of Dale and his little brother. Dale and Sadie were both 2 years old when these pictures were taken. I can't believe how much they look alike.......eyes, smile are exactly the same.
